There are different types of the word conservatory that we can study. The first thing to know about them is that they are buildings or structures, some glass, some metal, that you most commonly find in the garden inside a public park or at a pretty large home. The French are known for the term conservatoire, and our Australian English friends are known for conservatorium.

This one happens to be the oldest one to found in North America, and goes by the name of Conservatory of Flowers. It has a long history of over a hundred years, with an architecture that is in the style of Victorian. Suffering many things over the years, it was mostly being upgraded and restored from the year 1964 up until the year 1981.

For anyone traveling through the Ohio region, they should stop by in Columbus and see the famous one a Franklin Park. This one is said to be one of the best in a sensual sense. It features many tantalizing smells, with lots of lights, plenty of warmth, and a spectacular array of colors. If you are lucky enough to visit during winter, you can step out of it for a while and enjoy a whole new atmosphere. They hold loads of lectures and many different social events.

Yes, there are different types of the word conservatory, but each has its own form of beauty and elegance. If you fancy music, then the music colleges and universities are the place to really get your feet wet. If you are into plants and animals, then the greenhouse types are going to be a place for you to enjoy yourself. And if you happen to have a nice home with one attached, you can sit in a chair and relax in a warm room while watching the beauty of the winter winds just outside the walls.
